Check your personal usage balance
Your usage refers to how your interaction, including chats and prompts, with the AI models are measured. Your account is initialized to a balance of 5,000,000 credits.
Please note that your balance is just a way to track and manage usage across the platform. You are not personally charged for anything.
Your account balance necessarily decreases as you use the platform. Tokens are the units of text that an AI model processes and more tokens means higher usage, which impacts your remaining balance. Tokens may "cost" more of your 5,000,000 credits depending on which model you are using.
The remainder at the end of each day carries over to the next, until you hit 0 credits. If your balance was carried over from the previous day, your balance resets to 5,000,000 credits. If your balance was used up within one day and was not carried over, your balance must wait to reset until the following day.
You can locate your current balance by clicking on your profile picture on the bottom left corner. A pop-up menu opens with your current balance.
You can also track and plan usage by finding the running token count of a conversation, located at the top of the main chat window.
Running conversation token count
A running token count is now visible at the top of each chat. Tokens may "cost" more of your 5,000,000 credits depending on which model you are using. Again, more tokens mean higher usage, which impacts your remaining credit balance.
