Updated 02-19-2026: Platform Update and New Features Coming Soon

We’re rolling out an update to campusGenAI that is focused on improving user experience, collaborative capabilities, onboarding, and everyday usability for your users.

Note: These features may not be immediately available on your platform at the time of this announcement. Please contact support for more information, or watch for an in-platform pop-up notification when the update becomes available to you.

Summary of new or enhanced features:

  • 🔗 New! Agent Sharing via Links: Easily share agents the same way you share a Google Doc. In the Agent Builder, open the Sharing menu and click Generate link. Choose the permission level (Viewer, Advanced Viewer, Editor, or Owner), create multiple links with different permissions if needed, then copy and send the link to collaborators. This makes collaboration fast while keeping tight control over access.
  • 📝 New! Guided User Tutorial: A step-by-step guided tutorial is now available to help new users get up to speed with the platform. Complete the walkthrough once, and reopen it anytime from your Profile > User Tutorial. Ideal for learning features quickly or refreshing your knowledge.
  • 🧩 Agent Templates: Create and share reusable agent templates for others to customize. To create an agent template, open the Agent Builder and select Save as Template. We also have template examples available upon request (e.g. General Research Assistant, Legal document Simplifier, IT Helpdesk Assistant, Tech Interview Coach, and more). Documentation coming soon.
  • 🔎 Updated Agent Center: Filter through your agents based on whether the agents are templates, agents created by you, or agents shared with you. Institutionally-approved agents can also be labeled and filtered in the Agent Center (available upon request). Note that the Agent Center is now accessible from the top of the left-side panel, directly above your conversation history.
  • 👁️ Advanced Viewer: A new access level for sharing agents that allows another user to use the agent and read its configuration details, but not modify it.

    Use Advancer Viewer setting.

  • 💾  File limits: Per-user file storage limits with limit prompts and visible tracking in the right-hand side menu (Attach Files > Manage Files). Documentation coming soon.
  • 📝 Document Generation via Agents: We added MCPs to the platform to expand the capabilities of our models and agents. Agents can now generate downloadable PDFs, DOCX, and CSV files and leverage external tool connections through MCP server integrations. In the Agent Builder under MCP Servers, click Add MCP Server Tools. Documentation coming soon.
  • 🛠️ Grouping tool calls: Tool calls are now grouped together to allow you to better understand what each tool is doing at each step. To view the specific details of each call, click the tool and a dropdown with all relevant information opens.
  • 👀 File previews and downloads: Preview and download uploaded files across the platform by clicking on them.
  • 💬 Feedback form: Send us feedback directly through the platform. To find the new feedback form, open your profile in the bottom-left corner and click Give Feedback.

Open and use the feedback form.

11-04-2025: Version Update

We are excited to share that we have a new version of campusGenAI available! This update includes key features and improvements, such as new models, agent sharing, an Agent Center, improvements to the agent builder and file upload features, and added capabilities in the admin dashboard.

  • New Models: We are adding GPT-5-mini, GPT-5, Claude 4.5 Sonnet and Haiku, and OpenAI’s Codex model. Stay tuned for an updated model guide.
  • Agent Sharing: We have a new agent sharing menu. Agents can be shared with others as an Owner, Editor, or Viewer.
    • Other editors that you share with will be able to see the names of the files attached to your agent.
    • Proceed with caution when sharing: When you share an agent with another user, note that the files and prompts could be exposed to the user by the model.
  • Agent Center: Access and browse your shared agents by clicking the square icon in the upper left corner (next to the bookmark icon).
  • Agent Builder:
    • Support Contact: Add your name and email as a support contact on the agents you create, making it easy for shared users to reach out with questions.
    • File Context (Upload Agent Instructions): Unlike file search, this feature uses the full file content as part of the agent instructions. Best for persistent knowledge. Max token limit is 100K tokens.
  • Upload as Text: Pull text directly from a document and add it to your prompt. Best for smaller files.
  • Admin Dashboard Enhancements: Using the new “App Config” section of the admin dashboard, administrators can now directly edit key features, such as usage and balance limits, interface text and settings, model specs, and more. For more information or a demo, please contact us.

PLEASE NOTE: As part of this update, you may notice that your agents are not able to access their attached documents. If that is the case, please remove the documents and try re-uploading them. If the problem persists, contact support.

Prompt engineering documentation added

Learn how to improve the outputs of your GenAI models and agents by writing clear, descriptive, and intentional text prompts. Prompts are the questions or requests you send into the chat interface. Read Prompt Engineering and Writing Your Own Prompts to get started.

Agent prompt engineering guide available

You can now find detailed guidance on shaping your custom AI agents by writing effective instructions or uploading files to expand their knowledge base within the Agent Builder. Read Agent Prompt Engineering to learn how to make your agents more accurate, direct, and useful.

New-and-improved model dropdown menu

We’ve upgraded our model selection with the following changes:

  • Added OpenAI’s new open-weight model, GPT-OSS-120B.
  • Upgraded Image Generation from OpenAI Dall-E to OpenAI Image 1.
  • Added web search and image generation to our most popular models (labeled 🔍🖼️ in the model dropdown menu).

Running conversation cost

A running conversation cost, measured in tokens, is now visible at the top of each chat, tracking how much of your 5,000,000 tokens/day you have used.

Remember that tokens are the units of text that an AI model processes. More tokens means higher usage, which impacts your remaining balance. To check your balance, click on your profile picture.

Also note that you balance is just a way to track and manage use across the platform. You are not personally charged for anything.

07-23-2025: Documentation Update

Import conversations from ChatGPT: You can now find documentation on importing conversations from ChatGPT to be used on the platform. Read Import Conversations from ChatGPT to learn more.

Agent Builder documentation updated: You can find a new, comprehensive guide on how to build, use, and share Agents on the platform. Read Create, Edit, and Delete Agents and Use and Share Agents to learn more.

06-26-2025: Version Update

Temporary chat mode: You can now start temporary chats that don't save any history or data. These chats won't appear in search results, cannot be bookmarked, and will be automatically deleted by 30 days. To try it out, click the chat icon in the top-right corner of the platform.

Usage balance now rolls over: Your unused balance no longer resets each day—it now carries over! To check your current balance, click your profile picture in the bottom-left corner of the platform.

Question mark.

This balance is just a way to track and manage usage across the platform. You are not personally charged for anything.
