Spearheaded by UMass Amherst, campusGenAI was founded in 2025 by the Center for Data Science and AI in collaboration with Information Technology.
The campusGenAI Platform is built on the open-source AI platform called LibreChat, and tailored by our team to support higher education. Our goal is to help academic institutions create AI-powered learning environments that foster exploration, innovation, and a deeper understanding of artificial intelligence.
